Numerator Denominator Values
The ability to chart on Numerator/Denominator PIs has been improved in the new Charts module. Previously, only the result of the Numerator Denominator Calculation could be shown within the Chart, now both the Numerator and Denominator Values can be displayed.
To add Numerator and Denominator Values to your Chart simply begin by creating your chart and adding your Data source to it. A full guide on creating a Trend Chart can be found here.
Select your Data Source which will open a pop-up menu which will allow you to select a series source field.
This will bring up pop-up modal where you will have options to choose the source for the Series. If your PI is a Numerator/Denominator PI, you will have the option to choose Numerator or Denominator.
Select the Numerator and repeat the above steps to add the Denominator Value
In the above chart, the PI value has been removed so you can compare the numerator and denominator values against each other.
Plotting Targets
In addition to the overall target for the PI, the individual Numerator/Denominator targets can be plotted on a Browser Chart.
To add the target series, select the Data Source in the set up tab, and click on 'Add Line Series'.
Choose 'Numerator' from the 'Field' list and pick the same date settings used in the previous series.
Find your new series in the 'Set Up' tab, and click on the Data Class description to open the sub-menu.
Under the 'Percent and Ratio' section, select 'Numerator Target'.
The Chart now displays the target line.
Repeat for the Denominator target.
