This article will explain how to use Pentana Risk Browser Charts to plot PI data on a Radar chart. Our example will look at comparing a PIs value against their target and benchmark values.
We’ll begin by creating a PI trend chart. For a more expansive guide on creating trend charts please see our Trend Charts guide.
We’ll select ‘BV10’ as our PI, and include monthly value data from 2007/08.
We’ll choose to use the Line series type to begin with, but this can be changed later.
Confirm and save the chart, which will resolve in a simple trend chart being drawn:
Because we want to display the difference between the Value, Benchmark and Target series we’ll add the additional series now.

Now that the additional series have been created, we can now change our chart to a Radar type. Click on the ‘Appearance’ header and select ‘Enable Radial X-Axis’
Our Chart has now been turned into a Radar chart:
