What is the PI Updates screen?
The PI Updates view provides a place to update any items owned by you in one location. It can be accessed in both Browser and Classic.
Browser:
In Browser click on the ‘Go To..’ menu and select ‘PIs’.
This yellow section of the menu displays the count of PIs due to be updated, grouped by ownership level.
Clicking on a row takes you to the update screen showing the PIs you own at that level which are due for update.
Here, each outstanding manual collection is given a row, with a series of PI fields where you can update multiple PIs and save all data.
Classic:
To reach the PI Updates screen in Classic, click on the 'PIs' topic button and select 'PI Updates':
This shows you the full 'PIs for Update' screen:
Here, each outstanding manual collection is given a row, with a series of PI fields where you can update multiple PIs and save all data. Clicking on 'Save' at the top left toolbar will save all changes to all PIs. Clicking the plus (+) button will expand the row and allow you to read/create notes against the PI data row.
Can we change which columns appear in the PI Updates screen?
Both the Classic and Browser PI updates screen columns are affected by the configuration that is found in Classic ‘Site Set-up’, under ‘PIs’.
Which items appear in the PI Updates screen?
Only items which the logged in User has permission to update will be displayed here when they are due for update provided they also have permissions to update the PIs themselves. For Site Admins and Users with PI_Admin and PI_Update this means that all PIs due for update will be displayed in this list. To limit visibility of items on this list we suggest that Site Admins apply the complex versions of the PI_Update data and PI_Admin permissions to users where appropriate.
