Including multiple frequencies
The Date Range field is able to show PI Data from multiple frequencies adding multiple frequencies to a Date Range allows for much more data to be shown without the need for multiple fields or Reports. This can be configured in the Date Ranges tab in Report Central.
Once you've set up your report, by following the guide How can I set up a basic PI Date Range?, open the Date Ranges tab and find the Frequencies section:
By default, the Months Frequency will be selected and no others. You can select any number of Collection Frequencies to display in this Date Range. Above, you can see that Moths, Quarters and Years are selected.
This produces the Report below:
Frequencies are arranged in order of when they were collected. If the Report above were to show the values for July 2016, these would appear in a column after Q1 2016/17 but before the 2016/17 Year values.
Not Measured For
If a PI added to the Report Query doesn't have a collection for one of the Frequencies selected, a warning message reading "Not measured for..." will appear instead of any values. This message can be configured or removed in the Report Layout.
With the Report Layout open, select the Date Range tab. You'll see a button labelled "Messages". Selecting this button opens the popup window shown below:
By default, the first option is chosen, however, you're also able to change the message with the second option, remove the message entirely with the third option, or colour the cells with the fourth option.
