Portals are used to display information in a number of visual ways using charts, tables, counts and graphics. They can be a powerful tool for exposing various data points. In this article we will look at portal components which work with the Appraisals module.
Chart Components
The available chart options can be found in the 'New Component' menu, under 'Appraisals'.
There are three types of charts available:
1. Appraisals Timeline: this shows a version of the Appraisals Kanban which is specific to the user viewing the portal. If the logged-in user is a Appraisals Manager or Appraisals Admin then they will see all the forms that they are responsible for in the timeline. If they are just an appraise they will see only the status of their current form.
2. Competencies Chart: this shows a frequency chart of the current scores for Competencies within the selected Appraisal Cycle.
3. Responsibilities Chart: this shows a frequency chart of the current scores for Responsibilities within the selected Appraisal Cycle.
Table Components
The available table options can be found in the 'New Component' menu, under 'Appraisals'.
There are two types of tables available:
1. Competencies by Appraisal and Employee: this creates a chart from the selected Appraisal, which can be filtered down further to look at either specific employees or all visible. This displays the average competency score, total number of employees assessed, best and worst scores.
2. Responsibilities by Appraisal and Employee: this creates a chart from the selected Appraisal, which can be filtered down further to look at either specific employees or all visible. This displays the average responsibility score, total number of employees assessed, best and worst scores.
