If you have an Action in Browser that you want to move to a different location, this can be achieved by using the Cut and Paste functions as described below
- Moving an Action into a Tree
- Moving a sub-Action to root level
- Selecting multiple Actions to move at once
Moving an Action into a Tree
An Action can be moved via the Actions Browse screen, which can be found under the Actions Sections of the Go To Menu.
Right-click on the Action you want to move. This will open a pop-up menu with several options
Select 'Cut' from the menu. The 'Cut' Action will appear 'greyed-out'.
Then select the desired parent Action, right-click and then select 'Paste' from the menu.
Moving a sub-Action to root level
If the Action you want to move is currently a Sub-Action and you want it to be an Action on its own, first Cut the Action as described above.
Then click on the title menu and select 'Clear Selection' from the list. This is to ensure that you have no Actions selected so when you paste the selected Action it is pasted in at the root level and not in any selected Action.
Finally, select Paste from the title menu and you will then see that the Sub-Action has been moved and is now its own Root-level Action.
Selecting multiple Actions to move at once
Multiple Actions may be selected at once to perform admin tasks more quickly. This can be done by 'Crtl' and left-clicking on several Actions in sequence, this can also be used to deselect Actions. Alternatively, you can use 'Shift' + click, to select all Actions between one selected Action and another.
Once several Actions have been selected, follow the copy/cut and paste process outlined above. This will affect all selected Actions.
