A Portal is the first page seen by a User once they log in. They are fully customizable and can show information from multiple areas of Pentana in once place. This Guide covers how to edit the Layout of a Portal and what options and tools are available.
Portal Structure

A Portal consists of Rows and Components, which are structured like a table. Each Portal can have an unlimited amount of rows and up to 6 components in each Row. Additionally, components can be made narrower or wider. Components are what display in information from various Modules, in the form of Tables, Charts and other components
A Portal can be edited by first viewing it and then selecting 'Edit Layout' from the title menu. |
Adding Rows

A row can be added to added by selecting the 'Add Row' button and selecting how many components you which to have. Components can be added and removed later. If your portal is empty, you will be shown the page shown in the above screenshot |
Additional options for a Portal Row can be found under the 'Move' and 'Layout' options. The Move menu contains options that allow you to move the Row around on the Portal.
- Rotate - Move each component one space to the right. The component on the end will be moved to the left side
- Reverse - Reverses the Order of the components
- Equalise Width - Makes all the components within the Row the same width.
Components
There are four main types of components, these are

Selecting one of the component Types will then display a pop-up menu listing each available Component of that Type, separated by Module.
To add an additional component to an existing Row select 'Layout' and then '+ Add a Component' from the menu.

Editing Components
At the Top left of each component, there is a small Cog icon. Selecting this icon will show the options menu for that component.
